All brand new adventures start somewhere. And for me, this website is just that.
If you've followed my work for any length of time, you might know my podcast, "Around The Big Leagues." While that's where it started, that is now the past.
I believe that what comes "From The Diamond" encompasses so much more than just a show. It's a conversation we can also have in articles, videos, social media and any place the game is spoken.
So, here's to a new name and a new start.
I've covered baseball in some fashion for 14 years. Recently, I decided to get outside of my comfort zone and seek out fresh challenges. With that in mind, I decided to put my sports talk radio days on hold for the time being.
I wanted to get back to the essence of what drew me to the business. And that is baseball.
The game of baseball has always been my passion. I think about it. I talk about it. I write about it. It's connected me with so many people in and around the sport. I spent my childhood listening to Atlanta Braves baseball on the radio or watching it on TBS. Those summer nights were narrated by Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren, Ernie Johnson, Don Sutton and Joe Simpson, and starring Dale Murphy, John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, David Justice, Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones and countless others.
I'm thrilled to have former big leaguer and current Fox Sports analyst Nick Green join me each week for a new episode of "From The Diamond." Nick brings a unique perspective gleaned from a 15 year career in professional baseball. We'll talk Braves. We'll talk MLB. We'll try to entertain and inform you with it all.
This site will be a repository for podcasts, articles, interviews and much more. It's a creative outlet for my baseball endeavors. I have some thoughts, some ideas, some plans and I'm looking forward to sharing all of it with you. So if you're a fan of the Braves and baseball in general, then I invite you follow along on this leg of my journey.
Welcome to From The Diamond.
