The Atlanta Braves are no strangers to winning, and left-hander A.J. Minter has played a key role, pitching some of the biggest innings and getting some of the most important outs in some of his team's greatest victories.
With a trip back to the World Series on his mind, Minter sees a Braves club that has all the talent required to turn that dream into a reality in 2024.
“I feel like every single person in this locker room, even if they weren't with us last year, knows we had the team that could do something special,” Minter said. “The last two seasons, we didn't get it done, but here we are again with another opportunity of creating something special.”
Having reached the pinnacle of the sport with the Braves' World Series championship in 2021, Minter is eager to return to those heights as the team puts the letdown of consecutive first-round exits in the postseason behind it.
With that in mind, Minter is one of several Atlanta players to publicly state that the club’s expectations for this season are “World Series or bust” when spring training began last month.
